Tuesday Morning Bible Study: 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in High Street School. Topically based and led by church staff members.

Body, Mind and Soul
Prayer Shawl Ministry: Meets the second Monday of each month. Learn to knit shawls for members and friends of South Church in need of physical or spiritual comfort. Yarn and instructions are available in the Fellowship room. Coordinated by Nancy Mazaraitis.
Parish Nursing Program: Various educational programs, including blood pressure screenings and guest speakers, to promote holistic care for the body, mind and spirit. Led by health professionals. Contact Ginny Tyler for more information.
Healing Ministry: Meets the second Tuesday of each month. Focus is on intercessory prayer and periodic healing worship services. Led by church staff.
Men's Breakfast : Wednesday Mornings at 7:00 in the Social Hall.

Local Outreach Opportunities
The following are a variety of opportunities to share and receive the gift of hospitality with others, they are truly spiritual experiences.
South Park Inn: Fourth Wednesday of each month. Help in preparing a meal for 100 to 125 people who are homeless. This is a profoundly spiritual experience. Led by the Social Action Board.
Peter's Retreat: Third Sunday of each month. Help prepare a meal for 20 to 30 people who are homeless and living with AIDS. Contact persons are Alexandra Taylor and Elayna Skzybalo.
Salmon Brook Center: Fourth Sunday of each month. Help prepare and conduct a worship service for convalescent home residents. Contact person is Peggy Reducker.

Annual Events
Women's Retreat: Held after Easter each year at a local retreat center. The emphasis is on fellowship and spiritual renewal. Facilitators introduce a variety of engaging topics and unique learning opportunities for women of all ages! Come and enjoy a special experience.

Seasonal Events
Lenten Programs: This season presents unique occasions for learning led by church staff members. A variety of stimulating topics are offered in study series format. Many are held in the evening-some with a simple meal. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to enrich your experience of the Lenten season.

Christian Service: The members of this Board minister to the special needs of members and friends of the church in such areas as rides to doctor’s appointments or shopping, sympathy and cheer cards, meals or other services for the sick or recovering, receptions following funerals, and other services as needed. This Board is composed of twelve members, each with a three-year staggered term and is open to church friends and members. Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.

Deacons: The members of this Board assist the minister(s) in the administration of the Sacraments of the Church and share with them the responsibility for the spiritual life of the congregation and community. The Board of Deacons acts as a forum for new ideas and directions for the church’s total ministry; keeping attuned to the will of the congregation; providing meaningful and effective worship services. It is composed of twelve members, each with a three-year staggered term and is open to church members. Meets the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

Social Action: The members of this Board explore those issues that require the concerns of the Christian community. To implement its concerns, the Board develops educational programs and informs church members of opportunities for local and worldwide Christian witness. This is an action-oriented board whose focus is on local and global social issues. Composed of twelve members, each with a three-year staggered term, this Board is open to church friends and members. Meets the first Tuesday of the month.

Trustees: The members of this Board are caretakers of the business and physical needs of the church community and are responsible for the material stewardship of the church. This includes such areas as property, grounds, insurance, sexton, and office staff. Composed of twelve members, each with a three-year staggered term, this Board is open to church members. Meets second Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m.

Stewardship: The members of this committee are responsible for supporting stewardship education and for planning and executing the fall stewardship campaign. Composed of eight members, each with a two-year staggered term, this Committee is open to church members. Meets the third Tuesday of the month—more frequently in the September and October when planning the fall campaign.
