The Sanctuary Choir
Music is an integral part of worship at South Church. The Sanctuary Choir provides the music for the 10:30 a.m. worship service most Sundays from September through June. The Choir has a membership of approximately 40 singers. The singers come from many musical backgrounds, but share a love of singing and a desire to continually develop their craft. The repertoire is purposefully varied, including sacred classics from all musical periods and styles, new compositions, and creative hymn arrangements. Membership is open to all members and friends of South Church. The choir is led by our Minister of Music, Kevin Mack. Please contact our church office for further information.
South Church Youth Choir
The Youth choir is a wonderful opportunity for all children in grades 2-6 to develop singing skills while learning important biblical and hymn texts at an early age. The Youth Choir sings at the 10:30 worship service once a month, and contributes to the worship life of the church at other special services. The Youth Choir is led by our Minister of Music, Kevin Mack.
Second Sunday Music Series
The second Sunday of each month, November through May, is a special one at South Church. From 10 - 10:30 am (the half hour prior to the 10:30 worship service) a concert is provided by various accomplished musicians. Concerts may include visiting choirs, soloists, instrumental ensembles, or musical offerings from different cultures or traditions.
